Thanksgiving Weekend
D and I spent a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with his family! And one of the best parts was stopping in Glenwood Springs to soak for a bit!

Wish List
I have provided my mother with a wish list since the time I could write...although I still struggle with the legibly part. I wish I had them all, to see the transformation from barbies, to leggings and neon socks, to the collected works of Poe. This year my list would be composed of the following:

Christmas is coming...
...The geese are getting fat
Please put a penny in the old man's hat;
If you haven't got a penny, a ha' penny will do,
If you haven't got a ha' penny then God bless you!
I'm working on a database for a local charitable organization's Christmas gift drive. I'm equal parts heart-broken for the children who need so much, and heart-warmed by this community the pulls together to donate gifts during the holidays. I love that aspect of Christmas! The generosity and warmth and charitableness of people amazes me! It's my prayer tonight that this be our attitude year-round, not just during the holiday season. May our thoughts be for a fellow-man first, and ourselves second.

now move from plank to down dog....
I found the most amazing yoga group in Douglas. It's this crazy eclectic group of folks who meet Monday nights at a local church. We do yoga in the foyer, with the last light of day streaming through stained glass. It is the definition of serenity. Mostly made up of some of our matured population, I am completely humbled as these folks in their 80's flow through poses I struggle with. For $2.00 it is a Monday evening bargain break from an already hectic week.
